Hartpury College of Further Education
The college was established after World War 2 as an agricultural education centre with 50 students.
It remained relatively unchanged until 1990, when a new principal initiated a rapid expansion programme, starting with the provision of a larger variety of further education courses
The first higher education programme in Equine Studies was introduced in 1992, followed by the first degree programme in Equine Science in 1994.
In 1999 the first Master’s Degree programme opened with the first PhD student coming in 2004.
You will be joining a College that was graded Outstanding in 2009/10 by Ofsted which demonstrates our commitment and expectations for our students to achieve. As well as being taught by our academic staff you will have access to our wide variety of student facilities including; all-whether sport pitches, gyms, international indoor equine arena and the College‘s farm. You will also have full access to our Higher Education learning zone and our fully equipped library.
