Huntingdon campus of Cambridge Regional College
Based in Cambridgeshire, we are a small, friendly, College offering Further Education, Higher Education, Apprenticeships and tailored training courses. Our learners achieve above average results compared to Further Education Colleges nationally and we constantly review our courses to ensure that we provide training for employer’s future requirements.
At the college we offer a range of access and pre-access programmes to help you develop the skills, confidence and qualifications to progress into Higher Education.
Our Access to HE programmes are aimed at adult learners who want to go to University but who do not have the usual formal entry qualifications such as A Levels. These programmes will teach you key academic skills such as research techniques, essay writing, referencing, and analysis and evaluation skills in addition to a range of specific academic subjects. During the course we will ensure you receive all the support needed to make your UCAS application and give you sound advice regarding University courses suitable for your career aspirations. Learners also undertake a research project which they can tailor to their chosen higher education or future employment interests. All applicants are required to have GCSE English at a minimum of C grade. Some applicants may also be required to have GCSE Maths depending on their choice of future degree. (Equivalencies may be accepted in exceptional circumstances).
