Job vacancy: Quality and Development Officer

The Cambridge Access Validating Agency (CAVA) enables adults to achieve their aspirations through education. We do this by designing, validating, quality assuring, and awarding Access to Higher Education (HE) Diplomas. We have thousands of adult students studying our Access to HE courses at 32 CAVA-member colleges nationwide.
CAVA is a non-profit membership organisation: a strong and equal partnership between six universities and more than 30 further education providers. Together, we are committed to aiding social mobility by increasing the opportunities for people from all backgrounds to study at university.

About the role
As the Quality and Development Officer you will be responsible for the implementation of CAVA's quality and development systems. This will involve:- implementing effective operation of the CAVA quality systems and procedures
- managing and developing support services for CAVA members
- supporting the preparation of reports on quality and development matters to the QuAD committee
- participating in self assessment and evaluation of CAVA services and operations
- assisting the Deputy CEO in the preparation of the QAA reports on quality and development issues and return of statistics
- liaising with outside agencies relevant to the role and promote CAVA interests
- designing and running CAVA professional development events.
About you
To join us as the Quality and Development Officer, you will have:Essential
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English Grade C or above
- Achieved Level 5 qualification or above (for example, HND)
- Strong digital and IT skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience of running relevant quality assurance systems
- Background in education sector
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
- Commitment to CAVA mission and values
Desirable
- Experience with committee work
- Experience with project management
- Teaching and/or assessment experience
- Data analysis experience
