An Access to HE Diploma in Health professions is for you if you want to build on your skills and prepare for University study.

The course will cover a range of subjects, preparing you to begin a University course.

Subjects covered may include:

– Sociology
– Psychology
– Social Care
– Maths

Students go on to study a variety of degrees including Nursing, Midwifery, Physiotherapy and Nutrition.

Counselling

The Access to HE in Counselling is specifically designed to prepare students for the profession of counselling.

You will learn about counselling theory and be given the chance to develop skills key to succeed as a counsellor.

In the course you will study a range of subjects that may include:

– Professional relationships
– Loss and endings
– Counselling in practice

Many students progress to university degrees in Counselling, although others go on to study associated degrees such as social work, psychology, and criminology.

Medicine

An Access to HE Diploma in Medicine is designed for students who want to become Doctors.

You will study a range of subjects to prepare you for University which will include:

– Professional Behaviours

Students completing the course go on to study Medicine, Biology and Biomedical Science at University.

Students that complete an Access to HE Diploma in Education usually go on to study for professional teaching qualifications or Education related degrees.

You will cover a number of subjects in your course that may include:

You will be assessed in a variety of ways including lab reports, group work and presentations.

Students completing Health courses go on to study a variety of degrees including Nursing, Midwifery, Physiotherapy and Nutrition.
